The HSTRC Research Directory houses synthesized information from a targeted literature search (conducted in Fall – Winter 2019).

  • Population Focus

    Individuals that may be eligible for Medicaid, but do not necessarily maintain continuous coverage due to changes in state eligibility criteria or personal circumstance. Also refers to individuals that or are not yet enrolled based on financial and non-financial criteria.

    Intervention studies that integrate qualitative and quantitative research approaches
    Includes all other studies.
    Intervention studies in which participants are compared to a comparison group, but assignment to each study group is not random.
    Intervention studies in which there is no comparison group.
    Intervention studies in which participants are randomly allocated to intervention and comparison groups.
    Syntheses of existing research to summarize the current state of knowledge. Includes both peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed studies.

Quality measurement and risk adjustment are important to demonstrate return on investment (ROI) and address the “wrong-pocket problem,” both of which require health systems and social services data.
